The Institute of Construction Technology (AIDICO) will be backing the showroom that the Alicante Marble Association from the Region of Valencia will hold in Bucharest, next November 25

The aim is to make Romanian business people/associations related to the construction sector (architects, interior designers, construction companies, construction material distributors and importers, etc) aware of the quality and assortment of marble produced in the Region of Valencia, as well as the professionalism of the companies that exploit the quarries and transform the products.

As part of the inauguration, a day of speeches will be held about marble and the latest product innovations being developed. The speeches will be given by experts in the sector, including the President and the MD of “Mármol de Alicante Asociación de la Comunidad Valenciana”, Mr Mariano de Juan and Mr Fernando Guillen, who will talk about the marble exploitations in Alicante and the companies making up the previously mentioned Association, who are the promoters of the showroom

Among other speakers, we can highlight Marius Marcos–Lapadat, an architect and lecturer from the University of Architecture and Urbanism, “Ion Mincu”, in Bucharest. During the speech he will give his views on the role of natural stone in architecture. On the other hand, the CEO of the Institute of Construction Technology (AIDICO), Ramón Congost, will outline the main lines of activity carried out by the Institute, whose main objective is to provide support to construction and industrial companies to boost innovation of construction materials. The meeting will finally be closed by the Spanish ambassador, Estanislao de Grandes Pascual

The goal of the Alicante Marble showroom is to be a meeting point between Romanian and Spanish business people, which will enable them to get to know the properties of Valentian natural stone products, first-hand. This in turn will strengthen trade relations between both countries.
Plans are being made, based on the showroom, to organise periodical conferences and meetings with important specialists in order to further knowledge on the different uses of marble and its potential as a sustainable material in construction.
