A delegation from the Construction Technology Institute, AIDICO, travelled to Russia to make contacts with representatives from institutions and companies in Moscow and the region of Voronezh, the aim being to look for new business opportunities for Valencian construction companies.
The visit, in which representatives from FEVEC and business people from the sector took part, kicked off with a meeting with the Russian Deputy Minister for Industry and the Russian Union of Constructors, since the market in question has good expectations of growth and is a place where companies from the sector may be able to find a way out from the difficult period they are currently going through.
Likewise, the Director of AIDICO has met with representatives from an important certifying body to analyse the chances of signing an agreement to improve cooperation between construction companies from both countries, as well as to adapt products and materials to comply with the corresponding technical legislation. If the agreement goes ahead, it will be an acknowledgement of the role played by AIDICO as a certifying body before all the Russian organisations and companies interested in contracting products and/or services from Spanish companies.
It is worth highlighting that during the visit AIDICO and FEVEC arranged to organize conferences aimed at the participation in tenders from multilateral organisations and how to set up consortiums between Valencian and Russian companies from the construction sector. In Moscow, both bodies will organize the conferences together with the Russian Management Association, while in Voronezh they will be carried out in collaboration with the State University of Architecture and Engineering.
Over the last few years, the Construction Technology Institute has made a special effort to help make it easier for companies to break into foreign markets in order to find new ways out of from the downturn affecting the entire sector. From both its delegations in Morocco and Russia, as well as through collaboration agreements and business trips to other countries, this Technology Institute has managed to get many companies to initiate important internationalization processes.
AIDICO belongs to the Network of Technology Institutes from the Region of Valencia (REDIT) and is driven by the Regional Department of Industry, Trade and Innovation.
