The activity of the Doors and Windows Laboratory is focused on carrying out tests on permeability, watertightness and wind load for all types of windows and exterior pedestrian doors (aluminium, PVC, wood, mixed), which are necessary to obtain the CE Marking for the products mentioned.

The communiqué from the European Commission - 2006/C304/01 (DOUE 13/12/2006), transposed to national law by the resolution of April 17, 2007 (published in the BOE, 05/05/2007), lays down the mandatory use of the CE Marking for exterior pedestrian doors. AIDICO took the initiative to set up this laboratory in order to meet the needs of the manufacturers of these products.

Work is carried out in the Doors and Windows Laboratory through the following lines of action:

• Tests laboratory: permeability to air (UNE-EN 1026 / UNE-EN 12207), watertightness (UNE-EN 1027 / UNE-EN 12208) and resistance to wind load (UNE-EN 122211 / UNE-EN 12210).
